James P. Williams

James was very active in the the Black community, striving to unite the people in the community to do for each other. James was a Brooklyn business activist and a community activist.  His mission was to help the Black community to become independent and empowered by way of entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. He collaborated with an economist on many business initiatives, and was a committed supporter and volunteer with the Black Church Means Business Conference and other programs. In addition, James was very concerned about the educational system and the power that is in knowledge. Though James supported empowering the Black community through education and economic empowerment , he offered support to all people regardless of race or color living in the community striving to achieve educational and financial stability.

James was very political and knew a lot about the political parties.  James came from a poor family and built a career out of almost nothing. James was very outgoing and many would describe him as being boisterous when championing a cause he believed in.  James was a generous man and always willing to help.  He was very wise and you could go to him with any problem.  James worked several jobs to provide his family with a comfortable lifestyle.  He taught his family the importance of humility and the remarkable power of emotional and financial generosity.  With his teachings, he opted to start this foundation as his legacy.
